My Mum was admitted to Ward 9B where the care she had was very good and staff were lovely.
Mum was moved to ward 1C as a boarder were the care she got was not the best. She is an elderly lady with very bad memory, she was discharged still in pain, a sore eye ( which we kept getting told eye drops on order never arrived) no care package, an ulcer on her leg which turned out to be infected and a UTI.
We questioned the charge nurse why she was getting discharged and got told we need the bed. Disgusting treatment of a patient in their nineties.
Unfortunately she had to be re-admitted a few days later.
I tried calling the charge nurse for an explanation, to be told she would call me back as she was in a meeting, I never got a call back.
Disgusting treatment. It seemed as though staff were more interested in sitting, eating & laughing.
