"Lack of Covid-19 info for visitors on the hospital website"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital

(as other),

As we are still in a pandemic (despite the general attitude "don't mention Covid")? I wanted to find out about mitigations in Musgrove Park Hospital to protect hospital patients and staff as well as visitors from Covid infections.

Going to the website, there is no obvious link that would lead to Covid-19 (prevention) information. The only place where Covid is mentioned seems to be the advice for people whose operations have been postponed. Otherwise, the website reads as if Covid didn't even exist anymore. You would think that it is in the interest of hospitals to be very aware, conscious and responsible about a highly spreadable virus but...

Looking really hard on the website, I found a section called 'Infection Control'. I thought I had arrived at the page that gives me information about mask wearing, air filtration etc... To my amazement, Covid is not even mentioned on the infection control page. There is not very much information on that page - and all it mentions is MRSA and Norovirus! That's it. Covid does not seem to exist anymore. Hand hygiene is the only thing pointed out in terms of cautionary measures, totally ignoring airborne transmission and playing into the let's-forget-it-exists attitude that has taken hold.

A glimmer of hope when I saw the link 'help us prevent infection'. I clicked on the link. But no, no mention of Covid. The focus seems Norovirus (ironically, the hand hygiene mentioned here is referring to the alcohol gel provided, when hand gels aren't effective against Norovirus).

Maybe I have missed something. Maybe I have not found the right page. I am usually good at reading websites and finding information. I am not impressed. I am actually quite depressed.
