"Unable to get a doctors appointment"

About: Leach Heath Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I was told by two doctors that It was very important that I must go back and see them due to an infection that will not go away. After four weeks and numerous telephone calls I still cant get an appointment. I have given up and will try to treat it myself.

I am supposed to go and have my BP checked now after a medication change. I have been told they haven't got any appointments in the next two weeks, The doctors haven't opened their diary up for after that and they don't know when they will.

I have spent frequent mornings calling from 8:00 until 8:40 to be told there are none left. My NHS App will not allow me to book appointments any longer.

I do not see how I can ever get to see a Doctor again

My name is Paula McDonald and I am the Practice Manager at the surgery. I do apologise for the delay in responding to your comments and also the issues you have had trying to get an appointment at the surgery.

Just to make you aware if you go onto our website lhmc.digipractice.org there is an option consult your doctor, if you click on this and go to the box I want help for a medical issue and complete the questions this will then get sent to the surgery and triaged by a member a staff and the appropriate appointment will be offered to you. We are also in discussions with our telephone provider exploring ways to improve our system. If you wish to discuss this further please contact the surgery and speak to myself of our Reception Manager, we also have an email that our patients can use to contact us, the email address is info.leachheathsbpct@nhs.net
