"They are shining examples of what the NHS can be."

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as the patient),

I had cataract surgery in January at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, Fife.

Prior to this all the staff in preparing me for the operation (especially Val, my named nurse) were excellent, caring, informative and professional. I really felt they were interested in making the experience as stress free as possible and they also showed a warmth which I appreciated.

The operation was performed by my consultant, Mr Wilson, and once again his manner and professional expertise were exceptional. He also responded quickly to a concern I later had and I am grateful for his commitment to resolving it and ensuring I was progressing as expected. Indeed  I cannot praise the whole team enough: they are shining examples of what the NHS can be.
