Arrived super early as was extremely nervous for my appointment, wasn't even sat down 2 minutes and was called by a lovely nurse. She went through all my details and explained the procedure in a calm and friendly manner. I was kept up to date with who and when, and felt slightly more at ease.
Lucky for me someone didn't turn up so I was taken in early. The staff during the procedure was extremely friendly with a good sense of humour (which is needed in these situations!) And everything explained to me. Was out in recovery before I knew it and given something to eat and drink. I was checked on whilst waiting for my lift home. The whole experience was extremely nerve wracking for me but everyone I met made me feel at ease either their demeanor and with explaining the whole process.
The only negative was I was told someone would sit down with me and go over results when my husband had arrived, but that didn't happen. I asked for the results and was given a print out instead, which as a non medical person is all jibberish.
Would have been nice to sit with someone to explain it all. I did see the recovery area was extremely busy and staff taking great care of everyone.
I've had to result it Googling the results which isn't the best way forward.
Still, if I ever had to go back (hopefully not!) I wouldn't feel so nervous knowing what I know now.
