My son had been complaining of stomach pains for a week. Our GP sent us to the children’s ward at Borders general hospital. I cannot fault the professionalism and care that he received once on that ward. He was made totally at ease especially when getting bloods taken. The night staff were amazing not only making sure he was ok but also I was ok. Fed and watered with being diabetic. Even gave me a bed for the night.
The morning staff that took over were just as amazing. Noticed I was awake brought me tea and toast. These nurses auxiliaries are worth their weight in gold and totally deserve the pay rise they ask for. Amazing team. Nhs Scotland should be proud of them.
"An amazing team"
