"Friendly & Helpful staff"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Medical

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Up on the Male Medical Ward it has been very good. All the staff who have looked after me have been very friendly and helpful. There is nobody in particular I would like to mention as they have all been excellent. They always explain everything really well. All the food has been good. It can be a bit cold on the ward but I am wrapped up warm. The toilets are always kept clean.

The only real problem I would have is that when the IV machines start to beep, it can sometimes be left for 3/4 of an hour before a member of staff turns it off which is quite annoying.

However, my overall experience at Daisy Hill Hospital has been a good one.

I am pleased to hear that staff have communicated very well with you throughout your admission - We strive to include our patients with their care and ensure they know what is happening every step of the way. I am sorry to hear about the IV machines beeping - please do not hesitate to use your call bell to alert staff if the machine is beeping so this can be acted on in a more timely manner.
