"The nurses were amazing, a lovely, very organised team."

About: Laurel Suite

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2021, and I started chemotherapy at the Laurel suite in November.

I was really worried about having the treatment and was booked to have the cold cap. I changed my mind at the last minute and decided I was taking back my life from cancer.

The nurses were amazing, a lovely, very organised team. A small unit, which I think for me helped me overcome my fear of chemotherapy.

My first treatment was E/C and went well. One of the nurses, sat with me all the way through to the end. I felt okay after and went home until my next three weekly cycle. I had my bloods done on a Friday and my treatment on a Monday.

The unit was very clean and the staff very caring and really looked after you nothing was to much trouble. I received a sandwich for lunch and a cup of tea.

Well done to the laurel suite staff you were amazing 👏 thank you
