"Let down by the system"

About: Cumbernauld Locality Support Service / Community mental health team outreach

(as a service user),

Received a phone call from Cumbernauld out of hours Men's Health Team to carry out welfare check early his morning (Sunday) which went straight to voicemail.

They requested me to phone them back however the person who called didn't leave a number to reach them on.

I called 111 and they say they are not linked to the community teams.

How inept can NHS Lanarkshire's mental health provision get. Nobody needs this when they're already suicidal and are continually being let down by the system

Dear “The unhappy”

I am really sorry to hear that you experienced these communication challenges with the team and that a number wasn’t left for you to call back. I can understand how frustrating this must have been for you.

We have shared this feedback with the team and we will ensure that we always leave a contact numbers when leaving messages in the future.

We really appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback as it helps us to improve our services.

Many Thanks

Evelyn Ryan
