"Admission and care for cardiac ablation"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Interventional Cardiology

(as the patient),

I would like to convey my gratitude and sincere thanks to the team involved with my admission and care in ward 2C @ Golden Jubilee Hospital, and the all the Cath Lab staff too.

I was admitted for cardiac ablation. From the moment I entered the ward, every member of the team was wonderful. They politely introduced themselves, explained all procedures and their compassionate care reassured me.

Please convey my thanks to the 2C nursing team on shift  (Catherine, Ceri and lovely Jane) to Dr Lau for his professionalism and approachable caring manner, to the cardiophysiology staff on the ward, and to the theatre staff including Dr Quasim the anaesthetist, she was so lovely and kind. To Shelia the cardiophysiologist, and to the theatre nursing staff. I'm sorry their names escape me as I was quite anxious.

Nothing was too much trouble,  and as a fellow healthcare professional within NHS GG & C, I found the experience humbling.

It's a strange situation to have the shoe on the other foot, so to speak. I was anxious about such a procedure happening, but from the get go, every single person I came into contact with was extremely professional and I am extremely proud of the level of care I received.
