"Wonderful treatment and care in A&E"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

Wonderful treatment and care from start to finish in A&E.

Andrew ( Advanced Clinical Practitioner), Elise (paramedic student)  and Colm (consultant) as did all the staff who looked after my Dad in ED today were outstanding. They kept us informed throughout. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Everyone provided care to the highest quality. It made our time in the department much easier and  stress free.

After the many horror stories that have been in the press in the past few months it was with some trepidation that Dad attended today. He has nothing but praise for NHS Borders ED and feels blessed that we have such an amazing department and team here in the Borders. Thanks once again.

Dear Rene43, Thankyou so much for taking the time to use Care Opinion and thankyou for such lovely feedback. I will pass on your kind comments to the staff involved. I am sorry that your Dad was unwell and hope that he is on his way to a good recovery. The Department, along with the majority of all Emergency Departments throughout the country, has been under significant pressure but we have, and still do, try as hard as we can to ensure we provide the best care possible so feedback like this for the staff, is invaluable. Thanks again for you kind words and I wish your Dad a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Lesley Anderson

Senior Charge Nurse, Emergency Dept, Borders General Hospital.
