I was experiencing heavy nose bleeds as I have done for many years and this time required some medical intervention after one lasted for 2 1/2 hours. Around an hour into the nosebleed, my wife called 999 as I wasn't improving even with a doctors instructions, so an ambulance was sent. The ambulance arrived within 15-20 mins.
I was taken to Calow (Chesterfield Royal) hospital by 2 of the finest paramedics (Darren and a colleague, apologies we cant remember her name). They were kind, understanding, caring and made myself and my elderly wife feel very at ease.
They said very age appropriate things and made us laugh in a not very nice situation which made it easier.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Batemoor Ambulance Centre as that's where they came from. Always have a good experience with south Yorkshire ambulance team.
