About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Clinical Decision Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

We were very worried when we had to take our young child to A&E but she was treated very rapidly and efficiently by lovely, caring staff at both the emergency unit and the CDU where we spent a night. We were very well informed during the whole time and all staff were kind and helpful. The room was very clean, nice and comfy too.

Dear Al_lo,

I am sorry to hear your daughter was unwell and needed to come to the Royal Hospital for Children. I hope she is feeling better and can appreciate this would have been a very worrying time for you.

As the Lead Nurse for both our Emergency Department and CDU I am really pleased to read you felt you were well informed and that our staff were kind, caring and helpful. It is also good to hear that you felt the room was clean and comfy as we know it can be difficult being away from home when your child is unwell.

I have shared your story with our teams both in our Emergency Department and CDU who will be really pleased to hear that they made your experience a positive one.
