I went to Caryl Thomas Clinic in Harrow for a full sexual health screening (GUM/STI) following the end of a long relationship where the other party was probably not faithful.

The staff were all absolutely wonderful from start to finish, it’s a very easy process, they took a real interest in my life in general and me as a person and did all the tests necessary.

It was a really human and heart warming experience and not at all what I expected. I am not young any more and was very nervous as I had never been before. The hardest thing was making myself pee into the bottle! Drink plenty water if you go!

I’d recommend everyone get checked. It’s massive peace of mind.  My results came back negative but even if they hadn’t I feel sure any problem I might have had could be solved - go for it - be happy - don’t live in fear
