(as a relative),

Our elderly mother was admitted with pneumonia on Xmas Eve 2022.

She was extremely unwell and was treated in A&E, admissions and ward 53 at Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy for a period of 14 days.

She received the most professional, caring and dignified treatment which enabled her to return home on oxygen and continue her recovery with hospital at home.

Not only was our mother cared for, our whole family were also treated with kindness and compassion from every member of staff we encountered.

We were informed at every stage of Mum’s treatment and medical and nursing staff ensured that Mum knew everything that was happening to her and gave her time to express how she felt about the treatments involved.

She is still recovering and is getting stronger every day which we owe to the prompt and exceptional treatment at the Victoria hospital.
