I attended Antrim area hospital to give birth to my first child. I was lucky enough to be under the super care of midwife Agata throughout my time on the delivery suite. Agata attended to my every need, helping to make my birth experience a positive one that I will never forget. As a nurse myself I can only aspire to give my patients half the quality of care Agata gave to me, she embodies everything that it means to be a midwife and made one of the scariest days of my life a lot less scary! Nothing was too much to ask and she constantly reassured my husband and I throughout. We have left with fond memories and a lasting appreciation for the work midwives do.
Also I couldn’t write a review and not mention the anaesthetist, Frankie. He attended very quickly once I requested an epidural. I greatly appreciated his expertise and humour, He also promptly returned when I required a top up and quickly got my pain under control - the best Christmas present I could ever ask for (other than my daughter that is). No amount of money or thanks would everyone be enough to show my gratitude to Agata, Frankie and their colleagues in the delivery suite.
Many thanks,
"Birth of first baby"
