"Appreciation for NHS staff"

(as a service user),

Appreciation post*

My daughter went into DKA a couple of days before Christmas. The staff in A&E at QUEH were amazing. The staff multi-tasking like crazy yet still took the time to offer support and reassurance. Would like to say a heartful thanks to SN Carly in A&E. She put my daughter at complete ease with her support and calmed her down, myself also. My nursing head was out the window and mum head on instead. I have never been so grateful for the staff that cared for my daughter. We are all burnt out but what I saw was staff giving their all in such difficult times & i can never thank them enough.

ARU 2 also, staff were amazing and a massive thanks to the hcas who couldn't do enough for us all 💙

Dear Zmands,

Sorry to hear your daughter went into DKA just before Xmas, I can only imagine how worried you must have been at this time, I hope she is recovering well.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion about your experience whilst attending the hospital, it was great to hear how supportive and reassuring the staff were to you and your daughter, in particular SN Carly, who was able to calm you both at this worrying and stressful time.

We will make sure your thanks and appreciation are passed on to the staff as I am sure they will be delighted to hear how they "were amazing" during your daughters' journey with us.

Thank you for your lovely post.

Kind Regards

Mandy
