"broken wrist from a fall"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Slipped and fell breaking my wrist. Helped to called an ambulance which arrived quickly. The crew were brilliant, reassuring and kind on my way to A&E which was very busy. The wait there wasn't too long and when I was seen by the triage nurse I was immediately moved into the minor injuries unit, full to capacity. Immediate response from medical staff when I became faint, always felt cared for and monitored. All medical staff excellent, caring and ensuring I knew what was happening. Wrist was plastered and an appointment to have it reset at different hospital. Staff at that appointment were excellent too, can't fault anything. I always felt cared for and informed about what was happening and the outcomes to expect.

Dear themrs69

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It must have been very painful and a very worrying time for you so I am so glad you are happy with the treatment and care you received from NHS Scotland.

If you would like me to pass on your kind words to the ambulance crew who attended you may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion username (so we can tie in your story), the date and address where we attended.

I do hope you are recovering well and that you are able to enjoy the festive season.

Kindest regards

David
