"Compassionate and expert breast cancer care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Breast Clinic University Hospital Monklands / Chemotherapy Day Unit (Ward 15) University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as a service user),

I have to say after such a terrifying diagnosis the support and care i received from the doctors and nursing staff at Wishaw General Hospital (WGH), Monklands and Hairmyres was exemplary. Every single person was compassionate, patient and extremely skilled. I felt safe.

I have to give a mention to the nurses in the chemo ward at Monklands especially staff nurse Jordan who got me through every horrible treatment. I cannot tell you how good it felt to laugh and not be pitied but supported and encouraged.

Also the surgery staff at WGH. Especially Dr McIlhenny and staff nurse Susan.  Thank you with all my heart for your expertise and compassion.
