I was sent with a GP referral on a December morning. The board on arrival said a 13 hrs wait and the waiting area was packed full with no seats available. There must have been easily 70/80 people waiting before 11:00 am.
Fortunately for me I was taken at 11:35am to the MAU unit where a staff nurse, Ashleigh, introduced herself and took my health problem on board. She was very professional and efficient even though the unit was very busy she treated me as if she only had me to look after. She went out of her way to try and make sure other patients had a drink or sandwich pain relief etc. I just feel that she went beyond her position and, as well as being a staff nurse, she was genuinely concerned and cared for all those in her care.
I can't thank her enough for looking after me, as well as Doctor Smith in the same unit. Also, a big thanks to staff in the X Ray and Ct Scan department.
Continue to do yourselves proud guys...forever grateful.
"Very well treated"
