"Impossible to receive any diagnosis and care."

About: Radiology / Interventional Radiology Victoria Hospital / Neurology

(as a service user),

What happened not what I expected,

There was some talk to why I was there,

Physical exam was carried out,

However when asked to what I wanted to from this appointment, my reply was to know what’s wrong with me to allow myself to start dealing with it, I was then advised could be no explanation for my symptoms.

At this point I knew no further investigation was going to be done and left feeling very deflated and thinking nobody is going to help me.

A MRI was applied for and done after a few phone calls, later I managed to speak to the department secretary who confirmed no further visits are required.

Leaving me back to same situation I was in 15 months ago, impossible to receive any diagnosis and care.

I'm sorry to hear that you have not had a definitive diagnosis following an extended wait for Neurological consultation/review. If there are any aspects of your care specific to your MRI experience than I am happy for you to contact me directly (ross.carrie@nhs.scot) to discuss.

I wish you all the best and hope you get resolution of your current symptoms.

Kind regards,

Ross Carrie
