My Daisy Hill Hospital experience began in the Emergency Department. My care down there was absolutely brilliant and I was up onto the ward in 4 hours. The staff were all exceptional down there.
I was then moved up onto the Female Surgical Ward. It has all been fine up here. All the staff have been great except one nurse. They never really spoke to me and she didn't flush the cannula before putting the IV up. The rest of the staff have been really excellent. Tracey, the sister, who was there on my first night, was absolutely amazing.
The ward itself is very clean and has been comfortable enough. If you need anything at all the staff would get it for you. The food has been ok - nothing like the food you would get at home but you would eat it if you were hungry.
When it comes to improvements, the only things I could think of would be a bag to put your rubbish in and a box of tissues on the locker. Other than this, everything has been fine
