"Efficient GP diagnosis "

In January this year, I received a diagnosis for an extremely painful condition I developed, Trigeminal Neuralgia. Later, I joined the Trigeminal Neuralgia association and was shocked to hear that most members had not been diagnosed for years! I feel very lucky that the doctor I saw diagnosed me within a day! This meant I started the required medication straight away. Follow up appointments ensured I saw a consultant Neurologist at the hospital within 6 months, and brain scan a week later. I am regularly monitored with blood tests and a change of medication to reduce side effects. I am so grateful for the efficiency of the doctor who diagnosed me. I received another phone consultation this morning with the doctor who diagnosed me and thanked them for their expediency.
