My doctor arranged for me to be admitted to the Clinical Assessment Unit at Forth Valley to find out the cause of swelling on my nose and under my eyes.
From the minute I arrived app I was treated with compassion and total medical professionalism by everybody that I saw. After test and examinations, it was decided that I had Shingles on my face. An appointment was arranged for me at the Opthalmic Dept at Falkirk Community Hospital at later that day and again when I arrived, once again I was treated with the same professionalism that I received at Forth Valley Royal.
After seeing one nurse and two doctors it was confirmed that I indeed had Shingles. I was given all the information that I needed to know and was given a prescription. My condition is now improving. I can only praise the staff at both hospitals for their care and attention.
