During the late stages of pregnancy I was told I had mild pre-eclampsia and was induced was in and out of day assessment and they was lovely! I was then induced with no luck, was moved up to delivery suite and Waters broke that's when things turned bad. My body went into shock and had all sorts happen during labour which to be honest I can't remember, just know the team was lovely and saved my life!
Then moved down to wheal fortune ward, my time there was absolutely horrendous! It was during covid so no visitors, the staff was unsupportive and didn't seem to care! I felt like this was the worst few days of my life and it's really traumatic to think back at how I was treated and all the other mums who only had nurses to rely on as family members couldn't visit! I was emotionally drained and in truth I just wanted my family but they was unsupportive, it was suggested that I was depressed and struggling with my baby which I wasn't, in the end I discharged myself! Still with high BP and on 20 tablets a day!
"I was emotionally drained"
