"Process for providing test results needs review"

About: Cheadle Hulme Health Ctr 2

I contacted the surgery for test results. I was given a surprising, upsetting and worrying diagnosis over the phone by the receptionist. She was unable to answer my questions as she was not medically trained. She then said it would be fine for me to wait a week for a physio appointment to discuss the X-ray. I had to ask for a doctor to call me back. This is very poor and I believe only normal test results should be reported to patients by the receptionist.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on NHS Choices.

We value constructive patient feedback and to help us learn from your experience please could you email the practice on gmicb-sto.p88007@nhs.net so that an appropriate member of staff can contact you to take further details?

I would like to investigate this further in order to identify any training needs and to discuss your experience with the GPs.

Yours sincerely
