"The staff here were all lovely"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Sent by the GP with fast heart rate, and I was admitted onto the EAU Ward. I was feeling really unwell as well as scared, as my heart kept going up to 170 bpm.

I was in for 3 days while they did a number of tests, the staff were all really friendly, and watching them with other patients, they toileted the elderly all in a timely manner. The nurses would chat to me at night when I was being kept awake by other patients, having a laugh to lighten the mood and help with the long nights I was having.

This is the 3rd hospital I had been in regarding my heart, and Grantham was the first hospital that wanted to sort this out, knowing they couldn't leave me in the state I was in.

The staff here were all lovely. Nothing was too much trouble with the staff on EAU.
