My mum was admitted to ARU4 on Friday. She had been in hospital several times over the last few months , but this time the care and attention she was given was above and beyond what we have experienced before. Over the last few days any worries and concerns we have had about her were met with nothing more than a loving caring friendly response. As a family we have felt welcome and involved in our mums care. The nursing staff have showed compassion and respect not only to mum but to us as her family at all times. We have attended every afternoon and the nurse looking after mum has went out of her way to make sure not only mum was happy and cared for but also to make sure we were involved and understood what was happening and to offer us support and explain what was happening. Her attitude and friendly cheery approach to us all has made mum's stay so much easier. I can't remember the nurses name but it was think it was Nicola or Nicole. A total credit to not only your ward but also to the NHS.
