What I liked
I have been treated at Queens Hospital since December of 2007 for ovarian cancer. I now receive chemo therapy in the day unit.
To be very honest, I have no complaints about the quality of treatment I have received from my oncology team and all the nurses and assistants on the ward. Sometimes you are asked by the doctors questions regarding your treatment, but I attribute that to the sheer volume of cases they handle. I don't mind filling in the blanks, after all we are all part of a team.
I am making excellent progress everyday and my cancer levels have so dramatically dropped after two chemo treatments that I am now being scheduled for surgical removal of my tumour.
Here is a big shoutout to all the angels in the oncology unit and the nurses and staff that work in Mandarin B ward!!!!
What could be improved
Some of the housekeeping staff can have a little bit more interest in doing a good cleaning of the ward floor.
Also, PLEASE get insulated water jugs. It's a horrible thing to wake up in the middle of the night and have to drink warm water.
