Anything else?
My 11 year old son Jack was playing at a football tournament in Redcarr last Saturday morning , this is an hour and a half drive from home in Hull. Unfortunately, despite Jack playing absolutely fantastic in the second match he fell awkwardly and completely smashed his wrist to pieces. We waited 45 minutes for first response then another half hour for tha ambulance , we completely understand the need for prioritisation. On arrival at the hospital we were seen promptly and efficiently , despite a major trauma being brought in by the air ambulance. We were transferred to Ward 22 and I cannot praise the staff enough, all the nurses, doctors, consultants treated us absolutely amazing and were particularly accommodating as we were so far from home. Nothing was too much trouble , even in the middle of the night. A special thank you to the lovely student nurse who will one day be a fantastic nurse and a credit to your training and development. I will give the last word to Jack- as we were leaving he looked at me and said- "I have actually quite enjoyed it here, you wouldn't think he had had surgery 5 hours previously!!!? Thanks again . Lorna,Carl and Jack.
""Thank You""
