What I liked

Assessed quickly in the A&E department, the doctors were all friendly and helpful. I did have to wait, but then my case wasn't urgent and life-threatening. Under two hours from arriving to leaving (about half an hour of which was treatment) was very acceptable.

The hospital seemed clean and the site was well sign-posted, so it was easy to find what was going on even though I hadn't been there before. The facilities are modern and seem well thought-out.

What could be improved

Nurse on the door got the diagnosis slightly wrong and I guess I ended up waiting in the wrong queue (the doctor I saw took 10 seconds to decide I needed to see a different doctor and I was then in a different queue). But not a great problem really.

Some people also waiting and apparently in lots of pain were not getting a lot of attention from the nurses, who I felt could have been checking them more often, but I have no idea how urgent their cases actually were of course.

We discovered that local anaesthetic didn't really work on me, which was a pity, but I don't think that's the doctor's fault. And I got lots of painkillers afterwards to make up for my 15 minutes of wall-climbing pain.

And (least important of all) there was a flat-screen TV in the Urgent Care waiting area that was off, it would have been nice if it could have been turned on (with subtitles maybe) to make the waiting a bit less dull for everyone.
