"feeling in control"

About: Inclusion Matters Sefton

(as the patient),

I was referred to Inclusion Matters Bootle by my GP, as I was experiencing high levels of anxiety/worries which were out of control. My first session was via phone and then I was sent out an appointment. I was a bit apprehensive at first about therapy has I had it in the past and I did not benefit or learn much from it, but this was different, it was a relaxed atmosphere and my Therapist Ben was so easy to talk to and non-judgemental that I felt comfortable talking about my worries and problems. I was given literature to read at home about problem solving/anxiety to practice and focus on between sessions and anything I didn't understand he would explain it thoroughly. By the end of my sessions I was more in control of my anxiety/worries instead of it being in control of me. This service is ideal for people like myself who find it difficult to talk to family and friends, I would recommend this excellent first class service to anyone suffering alone with anxiety. Many thanks to Ben.

Dear PeaceSeeker70,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your story. I am sure many others will feel apprehensive about coming to therapy for the first time and will feel reassured by your words. It's great to hear that you now have the tools to cope with anxiety and worry better. I'll make sure your feedback is passed on to the staff team - especially Ben. All the best for the future,

Elizabeth
