I would thoroughly recommend St. Mary's to anyone who wants a low intervention birth or for after Carr post delivery. My baby was born at the LRI on 6th March 2013 (also a very positive experience). The midwives at LRI encouraged me cot go to St Mary's as I wanted extra support with breastfeeding. Unfortunately I was only at St Mary's for a fee hours before the staff spotted that my baby was not well and arranged for an ambulance to take us back to LRI urgently. I cannot thank the staff enough for picking up on the signs that my baby was unwell. Later that night he was diagnosed with a heart defect and underwent a life saving procedure that night at the neo-natal unit. At 6 days old he had heart surgery at the Glenfield and is now a very healthy and happy little boy. It was the quick thinking of the dedicated and highly experienced midwifery team that saved my little boy's life and I will be forever grateful.
"Excellent care at St Mary's"
