"Opthalmology"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

Anything else?

Average time from referral to appt. is a laugh... my gp wanted me seen within the week, optician was of same opinion. Actual appointment 14 weeks from referral ! Luckily I initiated a referral to a neurologist instead when I knew I had to wait so long & received the necessary investigations & treatment. I would add fairly that the opthalmologist & especially the orthoptic team were great; very understanding, reassuring and helpful when I finally got to see them. Although I am still waiting for a further follow up 15 months + later ! I don't really know where the fault lies but it does seem to be a common complaint in this department.....
