"Noisyness on ward- Middleton"

About: St Richard's Hospital

Anything else?

I recently spent 3 days on this ward whilst having a major gynae operation. There were some excellent staff and some not so good staff. I feel it is important that you can understand a nurse involved in your care which wasn't always the case for me and it becomes frustrating for both sides. My major gripe is the amount of noise that was on the ward (bearing in mind that this is a post op ward). The staff shout, let the mmetal bins slam shut and worst of all they had let a girls family/ friendz in during not visit times at the discretion of nurse ( I asked) .they stayed for about 5HOURS on the ward and were extremely noisy and inconsiderate of the other poorly patients on ward including me.not one nurse doctor asked them to quieten down. I did not get the peace and quiet that I needed on this ward and ccouldn't wait to get home.
