Anything else?
Took terminally ill father to Aintree A&E. It took one and half hours to be triaged. Receptionist couldn't have been more unhelpful if she tried, just kept quoting 'you cant be booked in until you are triaged' . Triage nurses uninterested and seemed and in no hurry to see to the patients in a very full waiting area. I was told 'off the record' that delaying triage keeps the 'recorded' patient waiting time down. I cant believe that preserving 'good' figures is more important that treating a dying 82 year old man. I will never use Aintree A&E again and would advise anyone else to do the same.
"Aintree A & E - avoid !"
