We were booked to be induced 6 days early with baby number 3, after having our 2 boys there 15 and 5 years previously. Was induced on the friday, which didn't work! so was kept in overnight and given something else on the saturday, which did the trick! Our little girl arrived after a 34 minute labour and we couldn't fault the staff or how they responded to our speedy arrival! The delivery was everything it should be. We couldn't have been better looked after if we'd gone private. All delivery rooms were occupied the whole time we were there and the staff really had to juggle all the mums to provide the service we expect from them. It may not work for everyone, but after having 3 babies here and hearing horror stories about other hospitals, thank god we chose the general. And at the end of the day if anything should (god forbid) go wrong the staff are always on hand and quick to respond.
