I have had all three of my girls at QE and found the staff, especially the midwives, stunning professionals who work hard and provide excellent care, both professionally in terms of medical care and personally in terms of their relationships with the women on the ward. What was evident this time was that since my first baby nearly 6 years ago the maternity unit is working under increasing pressure in terms of the volume of women it is dealing with. Whilst I would repeat I find the staff to be exception this is even more of a complement given the clear pressure they are working under. For me and my three girls I would like to say thank you.
