Anything else?
I went to Rotherham drop in with a sore eye, bright red, swollen, painful. They diagnosed a swollen retina but said I need to go straight to A&E to be treated. I'd had this before so I knew the score, I just needed steroid eye drops again. I was seen right away by the nurse who said I had different sized pupils and need to be seen soon. 2 and a half hours later in freezing air conditioning I was ready to cry. I watched everyone else arrive, be treated, and go home whilst I still sat there with my vision getting worse and worse and my eye starting to throb. Finally when someone saw me I was honoured with the worst doctor ever, instead of looking at my eye they wanted me to look at an eye chart without even having a comparison of my normal eye levels. I had to ask them to actually look at my eye, when they did the light hurt and I flinched away... they didn't try again, just said they didn't know whats up so will give me some conjunctivitis cream cause at the very least it should ease the pain. I knew it wasn't conjunctivitis, I had no signs of it other than it being in my eye, I knew I had the same problem as last time but they wouldn't even look at my file to see! They said they made me an appointment at Doncaster to see someone who'd actually know what they're doing, but I've just rang them to find out no appointment was actually made! Now, I still have a sore red eye but no hope of getting it fixed. Am I supposed to just sit back and wait till I go blind now? Glad to see tax money is going to good use!
"3 hours wait to see someone who admitted they..."
