"Specsavers Bideford: Audiology very helpful, explained the procedure"

About: NHS Northern, Eastern and Western Devon CCG

(as the patient),

A few weeks ago I saw an advert from Specsavers offering NHS hearing aids. I called them to enquire about this and was asked to get a referral from my GP. When I had done this I phoned Specsavers again and made an appointment.

When I arrived the audiologist was very helpful, explained the procedure and what to expect in the hearing test. I went through this and was fitted with two aids, the audiologist explained how to use them and what I should expect over the couple of days as I got used to them.

I had a hearing aid 4 years ago but could not get along with it, the ones I have now are digital and far better.

Using Specsavers in Bideford was much more convenient than using the service at the hospital in Barnstaple. In addition Specsavers send out replacement batteries as a matter of course.
