My grandmother was admitted into A & E and was immediately taken into Resus. where she spent the next 10 hours under very close observation. The staff were amazing and took such great care of her, and, despite being busy they still had time to check on my mother and I, to make us drinks and to talk to us about my grandmother's care. Due to her failing health, she was transferred to ITU where she passed away Saturday morning. The staff in ITU were amazing, empathic, compassionate and extraordinary. The level of care, professionalism and compassion demonstrated by all of the staff was exemplary. The care shown by all of the staff made a difficult time much easier. Thank you. Just one thing: The Resus was like a furnace as the air conditioning had broken, my grandmother was hot, my mother and I were burning up and the poor staff were rushing around with sweat dripping from them. Please fix this for the sakes of the patients, families and staff.
