Anything else?
Some very positive experiences and some very negative. Despite complications the medical side was not a concern and many staff went out of their way to help me through the process. My issues were largely about being treated with respect and dignity. Eye contact, sharing a name and an explanation as to what someone is about to do to you should not be forgotten. The cleaners and the drivers all managed this aspect brilliantly - some staff would benefit from shadowing these staff to learn some basic inter-personal skills. The negative issues I had were dealt with well at the time and resolved. However, the stress endured to resolve was not something a patient needs. I have not identified department as this behaviour was exhibited in many areas across hospital. Vegetarian diet was very poorly recognised.
"Dignity"
