"Treated with respect"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Anything else?

I was treated with respect and dignity in all departments and wards. The Nursing staff and Doctors were excellent. The food was good and I wasn't alone except at night which I didn't like. Lots of respect for the staff including the ancillary staff and other people involved in my care. I have sent an email with review setting out important points for change. The other thing I wanted to say was that there was a library came around and let me have a book so I was never bored. I was very seriously ill and in fact Colchester General once again saved my life. I have Luekemia and that was a very bad time I had. I was Nuetrophile-Sepsis so very dangerous. My Doctor is very positive and he has kept me going literally from the word go. I also have faith in Our God. I observed quite a lot and like to chat to whoever is about. So thank you Colchester General for all your compassion and kindness and skill. Years ago I would have died but technology has improved so much. Kind regards Margaret Dennis

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category.
