"luck of communication, horrible place!"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

My mum has been in this hospital for 5 weeks now and doctors keep saying that they still dont know whats wrong with her. Despite that results are inconclusive, one of the doctors has managed to come over to her when she was completely on her own and inform her that she probably have a lung cancer! He had no proofs and there are no proofs available still. She was waiting for nearly 3 weeks to have biopsy and now she is waiting 6 days for results. Also doctors already said that biopsy which normally suppose to last 20 min and lasted over an hour, will probably need to be repeated as they have taken too small samples. My mum has been connected to oxygen for 5 weeks, as she is caughing for very long time, drainage entered twice, xrayed several times and no results since. Do you know what the doctors decide to do after 5 weeks ? - They have tested her for HIV! If HIV test are done after 5 weeks in hospital i wonder what will be the next stage. I have spoken with a doctor, he did not manage to answer any of my questions, he did not allowed me to speak, I just had to listen to what he want to say. and by the way there are no doctors during the weekend so if you leave far away from your family you will have to travel during the week to speak to them (this will last 5 min anyway) I'm just bout to get this situation to PALS as my mum situation is getting worse and nobody have done anything good to her so far! and she was transferred between different wards 11 times within 5 weeks - stay away from this place - I wish my mum is transferred to specialised place!
