"Chaos"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

On 22nd March I was admitted in (freezing cold) ward 8 directly through my GP with stomach pain/vomiting. Doctors in ward 8 did a good job for first two days, thereafter I was transferred to ward 30 where the chaos started, sorry to say this but I’m pretty disappointed, I’m still waiting for feedback on my condition, I have not had concrete answer on what is/was the problem, I was discharged on 4th April and I was told that I will get an out-patient appointment in 6 weeks, I’m still waiting, I’m chasing for an appointment, my GP is chasing for an appointment and no one can tell me or my GP what is going on. Yes it’s NHS operated by Leicester Royal Infirmary

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are very sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with your recent experience on ward 30 and issues thereafter. I would like to the opportunity to discuss this in more depth with you and sort out your outpatient appointment for you as soon as possible. I can be contacted on 07921 545522 or by email Alison.Hessey@uhl-tr.nhs.uk I have also passed your comments about the cold temperature on to the Matron for Ward 8 so that will can be looked in to and addressed too. Kind regards Alison Hessey Cross Site Matron for Planned Care Leicester’s Hospitals
