What I liked

This is an good hospital if you access there Out-Patient services. However if you are an inpatient standards fall. Staff seem unconerned with treatment if you are placed on a ward that is not related to the reason for your admission.On my last visit I was told I would need regular blood tests. When admitted I was told I would have to have a blood test that evening. I asked several times up to 11pm but the nurses paid lip service to my request. It was not until I left and returned with my partner. Who asked to see the Duty Manager, who was a nurse. That following the complaint of being ignored over something so simple as taking blood. That the Duty Manager took blood. Two weeks later the bruise that was left after this procedure started to fade!!!

What could be improved

That expectations set by Consultants/Doctors are met. That if you are not able to be placed on a ward related to your medical condition that you are not ignored. That staff communicate and ensure delivery of service to set expectation.
