About: Woodland Hospital

Anything else?

Clinically it was all fine. I went in for a basic arthroscopy and all the clinical aspects were handled very competently. The private room was of good quality, The only irritating thing was that the pre-surgery communication lead you to expect a 4 hour stay. I was there for between 7 and 8 hours, despite having no complications. Due in at 12 I was rung early in the morning to come in at 11.30 instead. The surgery didn't happen till 14.30 and was over just after 3. When I came in I was told that with no complications I should be out 2 hours after the surgery. In fact I wasn't discharged till 18.45 with no explanation given for the delay.
