"Poor Service at the Avenue Medical Practice"

I called the Avenue Medical Practice this week and asked to make an appointment with a doctor and was told that nothing was available until 2nd week in June which was in ten days time. I said this was not acceptable to me and was told I might be able to see a nurse if it was something minor, but there were no appointments for today and I was not allowed to make an appointment.

I said I would go to the hospital instead then and I was told to go the the Broad Lane walk in centre. The person on the phone seemed to find it completely acceptabe that they were not able to give me an appointment until a 1 week the following Friday and spoke to me as if I was a 2 year old.

This is not the first time I have called to make an appointment only to be told there was nothing acceptable available and on each occasion I have found the receptionists telephone manner to be very poor
