my critically ill father was admitted yesterday evening, after being moved onto a different ward at 12.30 he was left in his side room not even with a glass of water, no nurse was given any handover information - we arrived at 2pm to find him sat shaking on his bed to tell us that he had been left with half of his notes and belongings and nobody had even looked in the room. After complaining we were told by the staff nurse that they were trying to contact the dr to advise on treatment -after further complaints a doctor finally arrived at 8.15pm!!!! the majority of his notes were missing, nurses had not passed on or recorded any notes of what had happened during the day - 9.15 finally given some medical attention as they were obviously worried - official complaint swinging itself your way sunderland you want to be prepared.
