Anything else?
The NHS in general seems to take a lot of stick and I suppose unless the comments come from direct involvement, they shouldn't be taken too seriously, however since just being discharged from the coronary ward 23 I'd like share the experience from start to finish. Although it appears I suffered a slight heart attack, from attending my local GP surgery, the following transfer by ambulance to A&E and resulting admission to ward 23, I never felt any anxiety or concerns because of the care and professional conduct shown by all of the staff involved. The doctors and nursing staff on the ward and subsequently the doctors and medical staff in the Coronary Angioplasty Dept. were absolutely marvelous. Special thanks to two doctors for their approach and explanation of diagnosis and procedures and to the nursing staff for the care and professionalism with treatment and concern for our well being, nothing was too much trouble. Last but by no means least, I don't know how these bugs ever get a hold in hospitals but they've got a fight on their hands in there, the place is kept spotless by dedicated cleaning staff. Thanks Kings Mill, see you during my recovery programme.
